3. Personal data we collect
– Information you provide in the contact form: name, email address, telephone number (if supplied) and any message or attachments.
– Technical data automatically collected by Google Sites and Google Analytics (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages visited, and anonymised usage statistics).
4. Why we collect it & lawful basis
– To respond to your enquiry: consent (you submit your details to hear back from us).
– To improve and secure our site: our legitimate interest in monitoring and optimising website performance and user experience via Google Analytics.
5. How we use and share your data
– Your contact details and message are used solely to:
• Reply to your enquiry
• Arrange lessons, if you become a client
– We do not sell or rent your personal data. We will only share it with third parties if required by law (e.g., a court order).
6. Where and how long we keep it
– Contact-form data is retained until your enquiry is resolved, and then for up to 12 months thereafter unless you become a client.
– Client records (e.g., session notes, invoices) are kept for up to 7 years after the end of tuition, in line with HMRC guidance.
– All data is stored on Google’s secure servers and protected by encryption in transit and at rest.
7. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
– Access your personal data
– Request correction of inaccurate data
– Request erasure of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
– Restrict or object to processing
– Receive your data in a portable format
– Withdraw consent at any time (for analytics)

8. International Data Transfers
– Data collected via Google Analytics may be transferred to and stored on servers outside the UK/European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States.
– We rely on Google’s implementation of the EU–US and UK–US Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure adequate safeguards for international transfers.
9. Cookies, Consent & Analytics
– We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised usage data to improve site performance and usability.
– Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we obtain your informed consent for non-essential cookies.
• A cookie banner will appear on your first visit, explaining our use of analytics cookies and allowing you to opt in or out.
• Essential cookies set by Google Sites for basic functionality are always active and cannot be switched off.
– You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your browser settings or using the link provided in our cookie banner.
